Last night was awful. Mom took Pepper with us to my Wednesday obedience class. We went earily and she put me in my crate. I had to wait while she worked with Stinky Pepper! I did not like this. It is bad enough that I have to go with Pepper on Saturday and wait while she attends Beginning Obedience. But Wednesday's too! I was so upset that I could not do hardly anything right. Stinky Pepper kept crying and distracting me. We left early and mom told my instructor that Pepper would not be back next week! Yea!

Last night we started something new! We are very glad we did because it is so cold outside that we can only take short, brisk walks and can do little training.

Mom got a box from whoever it is that leaves stuff on our porch. She folded the ends in and made a tunnel!

Last night we practiced going through the tunnel for a treat.

That Stinky Pepper learned it at once and even blocked the tunnel so Cookie and I couldn't get through! Pepper would go through, get her treat then run around and go through again!

Cookie and I did it a few times, but we don't know why we just can't have the treats if we sit or do a down. Pepper says work is work and she will do what ever it takes to get the treats! Is it any wonder that I call her "Stinky Pepper"?!

Yesterday was a bummer! Pepper went to class BY HERSELF! I had to stay home!

It was her evaluation day. SO, what does she do? Wins a frizbee for doing the most puppy pushups! And she didn't even practice them!

I won the same contest, but I worked so hard to do it that I can still do them in my sleep! That Stinky Pepper!

However, I am very glad that she passed her evaluation and will be going on to advanced beginners. All dogs should attend obedience classes, mom says, and get their Canine Good Citizineship Certificate.

While Pepper was at class, I had a wonderful lunch. Dad probably didn't think it was so wonderful, because it was his!

Yesterday was CHRISTMAS DAY (as if everyone didn't know!) and what a Christmas it was!

Our friends, Brandy, Jinny, Otis and Xica sent us GIFTS! We were alowed to open them up on Christmas Eve! Yummy treats! Boy, were we suprised! Then the strangest thing happened! Santa came to our house and asked us to help him! You can read about it Here

Then, on Christmas morning Mom and Dad let us open some gifts from our stockings! What fun we had. I opened mine first and since Cookie didn't know how to open presents, I took hers and was going to show her how. She got mad and chased me all around the house! What fun that was! Meanwhile, Pepper opened hers and "killed" it! Then she tried to "kill" mine! So we chased each other all around the house!

Then, someone came to the door! Unkey and our Cousin! Then the KIDS! Oh, what a wonderful time we had!

Gifts for everyone and then a big Christmas Dinner! Pepper, Cookie and me got to have bites of turkey!

We got great big carrot bones and we are still trying to eat them up! There was one for each of us and, since they were wolf size, it is taking quite a while.

After dinner we all played and played. Finally, after everyone went home we lay down, Cookie on the Brand New Cedar Bed, Pepper under a blanket on the sofa and me on my recliner. We slept until time to go to bed!

What a wonderful Christmad Day we had!

Today all our company left. Things aren't quite back to normal, but almost.

We had a great New Years Day Party, with all our family coming for dinner. Me and Pepper and Cookie had another giant biscuit as a treat and Pepper played ball with everyone. It was a great start to a new year.

Pepper says she and Cookie are going to their new classes and that I will have to stay at home! This is not right! I am the one who goes to classes and practices obedience. Pepper and Cookie should stay home!

Mom said that I will get to go two other days, but I want to go with Mom every day! I don't know what I will do with both Cookie and Pepper away! I might cry.

Something very important is about to happen! I can tell because Mom is very nervous and talks about a show. We are practicing my obedience lessons every day and Mom is making sure I sit straight and follow all of her instructions.

When we go to class, I have to do things in order and follow patterns.

I can't wait to find out what it is we are going to do!

Stay tuned!

I have been so busy the last few months that I couldn't even work on my Fox Diary!

I have been in advanced Novice Obedience classes with some other dogs who are working on their Companion Dog titles and I have been Tracking and, (What Fun!) learning Agility!

Last Saturday, me, my friends, Jack the Weim, Jade the Sharpei, and Tucker, a tiny TFT all went to a match. I left the ring when I heard horses. I had never seen them before and wanted to get a good look and maybe run around with them.

Tucker stayed and got a 176 and a trophy for High Scoring Terrier. Jade won First Place and the Non Sporting Dog trophy, while Jack took First in our class, with a 180, and got a trophy, too.

YEA for my friends!

Sunday we went tracking and after Jack and I went to a horse park with our moms. We walked down a neat trail and found a CREEK! We got to go wading and we had a wonderful time.

Then, after a short rest, mom, dad and I went to some lady's store and I was evaluated for agility lessons, private ones, so mom and I can learn to do things properly.

The lady has a clicker, like mom's and we started some new exercises. Everytime I do the right thing, which is touch the target with my nose, I get a treat. It is kind of fun, because I can lay down, put the target between my front paws and touch, touch, touch and treat, treat, treat! What fun!

And, mom and dad made me My Very Own Fox Agility Equipment!

I have a Fox Walk, a Fox Teeter, a Fox Table, a Fox Window Jump, 2 Fox High Jumps, a Fox Wicket Jump, a Fox Tunnel, a Fox Double Bar Jump, a Fox Jump Chute, 2 sets of 5 each Fox Weave Poles (not much fun!), and 6 Fox Bar Jumps!

A Terrier Play Ground! That's what my back yard has become!

The teeter, dog walk and table are all standard size, but my mom and dad scaled the jumps down to Fox Size.

My friends come over and we all work together, practicing the obstacles. I hope to have photos of my scaled down Fox Equipment along with how mom and dad made it, later.

And, we are all tattooed! Mom did it to us all, including my friends. That is so we can be identified easily. Sounds silly to me, because everyone KNOWS who I am! But it didn't hurt, not one bit!

I have begun lessons! Agility ones. My Mom says I am in Kollege! My instructor is great. She has a clicker and I am learning to do different things. When I do it the way it is to be done, I get clicked and get a treat!

It doesn't take long to catch on to what I am to do, either. It is such fun and I love to go!

I do the dog walk, A frame and the teeter, and if I stop and "spot" at the end of the obstacle, I get clicked!

Yesterday we began something new. Weaves. I go in between 2 poles and around one pole, and click, treat! Pretty nifty!

Mom seems to like the clicker and she is using it with Chip. He does sit, down, roll over and crawl for Mom and he is only 12 weeks old today. Now if he would just go outside to potty.......maybe Mom will let me help teach him.

I, The Fox, was very sad. We were at the third obedience show that I have work in and yesterday I made my mom cry. I wasn't sure why she cried, because the lady who stays in the ring with us gave her a ribbon, but she did.

Then, when we left she kept telling me I was a fine, good boy and gave me my very own cheese burger for dinner.

Today we went back and we had to wait and wait. The air conditioner is broken and it was hot. Someone said it was 90 degrees. I lay on the concrete floor to stay cool.

Cookie was there and she got to go into the ring with my mom. She didn't do the jump and the ring lady stood between her and mom and she got scared and got up during the long sit.

Mom said that was ok and she was a good girl. Mom said next time Cookie would do better.

I ate a hot dog and then it was my turn. I worked and then we did the long sit.

Mom said we didn't do too well because I waited at the cool end of the heeling patteren and mom had to call me to heel. I felt bad, but mom said it was ok.

Then they called us back in and gave mom another red rosette. And mom cried for the second time. I don't understand what it is about those ribbons that makes her cry.

We rested and went outside and then I lay down on the cool concrete while the other dogs worked.

Finally it was my turn again. It was so hot. I didn't want to sit for the figure 8, but mom wanted me to so finally I did. It was so hot in the back where we did the heeling that I just stayed close to my mom, but I heard something in the last pattern and stopped. Mom called me to heel and I came to her and we finished that. I wanted to leave after the recall, but mom stayed, so I went back to her and stayed.

After all the other dogs worked 3 were called back into the ring. One was me. They gave my mom a green rosette and she cried again.

I felt sad, but then mom hugged and kissed me and told me I have a new name. It is:

So many things have been happening that I have not had a spare second to write in my diary! Before I had completed my beginners agility class, mom and I went to our first trial. It was an AKC one and held by our club. The first day, I tried my best and almost qualified. But the second day, mom was so sick she could hardly walk, let alone run, but we did and I qualified! I had earned my first leg toward my Novice title.

The next month we went to another trial and I earned another leg.

We went to a UKC trial and I left the ring and didn't qualify the first day and the second day everything was going great! Mom and I where running and we knew we had a perfect score. Then, at the last jump there he was! A stranger! I could not jump the jump with him sitting there!

Mom understood. I still got a first place ribbon in CPE, so things weren't so bad.

Then our class ended. I missed my favorite instructor, "Auntie CherWie", but we started a new class and it was nice. The instructors were different, but we learned new things from them.

However, due to unforseen happenings, we changed classes again. I am in a different class, with fewer dogs, but I like it very much. The instructors are different, one is even a strange man, but he is nice and I like him.

During this new class changing time, we went on 2 trips! One was to the UKC Premier Dog Show. I got an eye infection from the dust in the horse area and couldn't run agility, but I earned 3 majors in the show ring and only need one more win for a champion title! Boy was I excited! Cookie ran her first agility run, ever, at a trial, and earned her first AGI leg.

Then we went to another UKC agility trial. It was so hot that I wouldn't run. Mom was very understanding. Cookie ran, though, and she earned a second leg toward her AGI title.

Next week end Cookie and I are entered in our first USDAA agility trial. We will be doing Performance Standard I.

Yesterday we began practicing for open obedience. I have learned to retrieve the dumb bell, but don't know why mom wants me to hold that thing in my mouth! I like wood, but not that old dry sutff.

Dad is making me a new jump, a broad jump, that I can use for both agility and obedience. Cookie says it is for her, but she thinks everything is for her! Chip doesn't care, because he is just a silly pup!

Pepper is still being a groundhog, hiding in her den and trying to get the rest of us in trouble by starting crate fights. She makes me so mad, sometimes, that I forget and growl back.

Mom says I have to stop because she likes to start growl matches and get me in trouble. Dad says Pepper is just being Pepper, but, how about me? Aren't I just being The Fox?

Sisters are hard to get along with, sometimes!
