Our beloved MuttPack has crossed to the Rainbow Bridge

MuttPack

MuttPack is a rescue puppy from a litter that was dumped at a kill shelter at 5 weeks of age. He is said to be part Sheltie part who-knows. There were 4 puppies in the litter and all were adopted within 2 days.

MuttPack was adopted by our sister and nephews. He is 8 weeks old now, and weighs 2 pounds.

We are very fond of MuttPack, and we are glad that he is a member of our family. Pepper remembers what it is like to be left by the only people you have ever known. This should not happen to any puppy.

We hope Muttpack will not have any problems, but when a puppy is taken away from its mother at such an early age many times problems develope later in its life.

That's right, Fox. I was lucky enough to spend 14 weeks with my mother and litter. Muttpack could develope a behavior problem called seperation anxiety. This is very hard on the dog and his family.

For more about this, see our books section. Mom has listed a book by Dr. Doddson that helps with many behavior problems found in dogs.
