Christmas Day
Our Tree

Bright and early the next morning The Fox woke everyone up and all went to the family room to see what Santa had brought.

There were boxes of treats for each little dog and stuffed toys and a new rope kong and all kinds of wonderful supprises!

After breakfast Mom and Dad put the Christmas turkey in the oven and Mom made her famous oyster dressing. Dad made pumpkin roll and pies.

The door bell rang and The Fox, Cookie and Pepper went into a frenzy of barking. "The kids are here! The kids are here!" they shouted. "Open the door! Let them in!"

So Dad opened the door and there was much jumping and kissing by the three little dogs.

When coats were off and everyone settled down, The Pianoman went to Fox's Mom and sat on her lap. "Grandma", he said, "the strangest thing happened last night. It is so strange that you won't believe it! We were all in bed and because our room is on the second floor, nearer the roof we listened for Santa to see if we could hear his sleigh land on our house. Well, we heard something that we thought was Santa's sleigh, but instead of the sound of little hooves, there, while we lay in bed in the dark, I thought I heard Foxfire BARK!"

Everyone turned and looked at The Fox. He just sat under the Christmas tree looking wise. Cookie and Pepper joined him. ("I told you to keep quiet!" wispered Pepper.)

"Well, Pianoman", said Fox's Mom, "Anything is possible at Christmas!"

And everyone went to the dinning room to have Christams Dinner before opening all the presents that Santa had left.

Meanwhile, far away in Washington, Brandy, Jinny, Otis and Xica woke their Mom. Boy was she supprised to see what was under the tree for her!

Before leaving, The Fox had taken this Photo for Brandy and Jin to give their mom.
