The Fox
Gives Obedience

When she came out, she attacked. Mom got us apart and made ME go out side. This behavior not only continued, but got worse.
One morning while mom was on vacation, Pepper started growling and when mom sent ME outside, Pepper flew after me, jumping on my back and attacking. We fought until mom and a friend were able to get us into our crates.
Mom called the vet, who sent us to a behaviorist.
At the behaviorist office Pepper continued to growl and try to attack ME. We had to go into the office while Pepper was kept in the next room in a crate. After my session, I was taken to the crate and Pepper went in.
At home, Mom & Dad began keeping our training collars and leads on us. When Pepper would growl and try to attack they would grab the leads and take us to our crates. We were given lots of good treats.
This was not too bad, but why should I, who had done nothing, get crated or sent outside? Then Pepper blew it. She went into the crate and began growling, hoping to get the treats faster.
It took Mom & Dad about 1/2 second to get the message. The behaviorist knew less than nothing about terriers.
At the obedience class, the trainer blamed ME because I am bigger than Pepper and said "What a cute little thing she is"! HA! Little did they know.
Things would have gotten worse, but Mom & Dad began calling me when Pepper would growl, and when I went to them they told me what a good boy I was and gave ME a rub and a treat. I soon learned to ignore that rascal, Pepper!
Then, one day, it happened. We were in a door way when Pepper attacked. She began growling and no one could get to our leads to pull us away from each other.
I looked up and, using my ESP, asked if I could handle it. They said, "OK, you do something!" And I did.
Making myself as big and black as I could, I slowly moved toward Pepper. I made not a sound. I just towered over her.
Pepper cringed and began to whine. Sloooooly I lowered my head and the real obedience classes began.

Lesson two. Slooooly pull the dog, urging it to follow.
Lesson three. Continue encouraging dog to follow. |

Success at last!
Pepper is trained!
I had to do these lessons twice that day, but after the second one, Pepper hid behind a chair. Mom had given me a "new" sock that day, so I took it behind the chair and gave it to Pepper. I went to my recliner and lay down.
Things got better after that. We had one more fight. It happened so fast, on one could stop us. BUT, I was ready. I had been watching WWW Wrestling when Mom didn't know and learned some moves. I flipped Pepper on her back so fast she didn't know what had happened. Down on one knee, I held her while showing her my BIG teeth. She never tried to move or make a sound. I was glad. I did not want to hurt her.
Mom & Dad just watched. After holding her down for a while, I jumped up and walked away, THE WINNER and NEW BETA DOG.(Mom & Dad are Alpha.)
Sincerely, Your Friend,
